Directora Artística
She holds a Master's degree in Fashion and Marketing from Anáhuac University of the South. She studied set design at the National School of Theatrical Art of the National Institute of Fine Arts (INBA), where she is a member of the faculty. She is also a fashion designer, having graduated from the Jannette Klein Fashion Design School. She has a specialization in textile design from the School of Design of the National Institute of Fine Arts.
Recipient of a FONCA grant (2008-2010, 2010-2012, and 2012-2014 programs). She was part of the National Theater Company, coordinating the costumes for the 43 productions staged during those years; she designed costumes for the following plays: “The Misunderstanding” directed by Martha Verduzco, “To Be Is to Be Seen” directed by Maestro Luis de Tavira; “Perpetual Peace” directed by Mariana Giménez; “Love Letters to Stalin” directed by Guillermo Heras; “Illusions” directed by Mauricio Garcia Lozano; and “One More Time Please” directed by Mario Espinosa.
Recipient of a grant from the National System of Art Creators from 2016 to 2019.
Her work as a costume designer includes over 100 titles, notably for musicals such as Waitress, Mamma Mia, Mentiras, Billy Elliot, Ghost, Lagunilla mi barrio, The Prom, and Hello, Dolly! She has also designed costumes for operas like Lucia di Lammermoor, Così fan tutte, Atzimba, Florence in the Amazon, and Otello. In addition, she has designed costumes for plays such as La divina ilusión, Network, El vestidor, El Atentado, El diccionario, La Expulsión, La dama Boba, El corazón de la materia, La Ternura, Paraíso, and most recently, Clue, among others. She has also designed shows in other disciplines, including Querida Ciruque Música and La Gran Carpa, a wrestling show.
Nominated for Best Costume Design on numerous occasions by the APCT, the Metropolitan Theatre Awards, and the Cartelera Awards. Winner of the 2019 Metropolitan Theatre Awards for Best Costume Design for a Musical, "Hello, Dolly!" Also a winner that same year at the Cartelera Awards. Winner of the 2021 ACPT Award for Best Costume Design for "Mentiras, el musical" (Lies, the Musical).
As a costume designer for film, she has worked on the short film "Los Torcidos" and Oscar Serrano's thesis film "Sobre tierra." She also worked on Andrés García's CUEC thesis film "Ricercar," the short film "Peregrinación" directed by Enrique Arroyo, and the feature film "El muro de al lado" directed by Luis Eduardo Reyes. She coordinated the costumes for the film "Una familia con madre," also directed by Enrique Arroyo.
In 2015, she founded TRAMA & DRAMA Vestimos y Producción SA de CV, a Mexican company dedicated to the professional design and production of costumes for stage productions. In addition to coordinating and producing the costumes for all the plays she designs, she has coordinated the costumes for productions such as "Les Misérables," "The Play That Goes Wrong," and "Peter Pan That Goes Wrong," as well as costumes for corporate events with designers Mario Marín del Río and Eloise Kazan, among others.
In 2019, she was part of the founding group of Vestuario a Escena AC, a Mexican association made up of 20 stage costume designers. She currently serves on the board of directors as vice president.
